Move over Maisy you've got competition!

Hi everyone!
I hope you have had a good day? I certainly did, we made a trip to the library and returned home armed to the teeth with 'new friends'. Books, glorious books. I love how Max gets completely involved with the story. So much so that if and when I read a book to him for a second time and mess with the story a bit for variety I end up getting corrected. I'm not joking......This one time I used the word 'fun', instead of: 'they had an 'adventure', and I was smartly reprimanded...."No Mama, they had an AD'vencha not fun"!
So much for creative license. It is either right or wrong hahahaha! I sometimes think Maxi is 3, going on 'old-man'!

Have a look @ some of his newest 'friends'. Maisy, I suggest you find somewhere else to lay your head girl.....YOU ARE OUT!!! {and the Mama sighs in relief!}

I think this book is one of my favourites.
It is about a bunch of odd looking frogs....boy frogs & girl frogs, who have peer pressure issues and a complete lack of hygiene and no individualism. For some reason they do everything together, at the same time mind you. Even their runny noses happen together......and as you have probably guessed, they never knew an arm wasn't the place to wipe the old dripping hooter and so on, and so on....Maxi of course loves this 'gross' part, he is such a boy!
I love ham-ing the stories up a bit making them a bit more kiddie and adult friendly {for the ever patient father who listens in too} because I often wonder how some of these books get published the way they are written.....doesn't anyone proof read the copy any more???

Any how, I am about to finish packing our suitcase and hit the sack....early start in the AM. Dear Sarah is taking us to the airport, Bless her. I have set the Hunnie to work.....love to see him sweat, although I am sure there are more fun ways to get him to do that, than this. Shame! He is really good about helping around the house tho'. I am on a mission not to get to bed at midnight because there is nothing worse than being dog tired on a plane, with a bouncing boy and not being able to doze off.

<<<< See this.
I was getting acquainted with my kettle.....again this evening {love a good brew or two after supper} and had this idea of a self- portrait in the kettle.
Oh on second thoughts, this is sad and the pits actually...I am photographing my kettle and myself in the kettle. What next?

Ok, Ok I will stop right about now while the going is good and I haven't completely thrown my name away.

Before I go however, I promised some of my scrapping buddies that I would post some of my new L.O's using some of Jo's FABULOUS Autumn leaves papers. They turned out really nicely don't you think? See I am experimenting with some of the Doodle Studio stuff too..... Transparencies, Arrows, Doodle-bubbles & Doodle-bots....cute hey?

Well there you have it, all you fab! people.....oh and shame on you, all who read my blog and don't leave a comment...NOT good enuff! Come-on you can do it, just for me, OK?

Nite-nite...I am taking my laptop with me to PE, so hopefully I will be able to blog a bit while I am away. Now don't miss me too much. Hahahahaha! I live in hope ;o)

Byeeee!

Geriatric moment.

No offense to those considered geriatric in age...but I certainly had a couple of those challenging moments today. The biggest being that it took me until 4.30 this arvi, to realise that tomorrow is not the 31st May but only the 30th. That meant we no longer had to get to the airport at the crack of dawn, to catch a flight which wouldn't have been there, leaving us or me should I say, red faced and feeling like a dweeb, to pick a poor unfortunate friend to come and rescue us. I am quite relieved in a way because it gives me an extra day to get packed. What a drama you would think I was going away for a month

The day was pretty much uneventful, with Sarah being a star, as usual, by helping get everything ready for the trip {haha!}, the good news is that for the first time in at least 6 months, I managed to get her to look at the "tweety bird" for a split second, so I could get her photo for the blog. She is as bad as my mum.......a professional camera dodger and when she is finally caught in the view finder, she can't keep still for a second, so the fact that there is a photo of her in focus, on here is nothing short of a miracle.

Our family is blessed to have had this AMAZING selfless lady as part of our family for the last 3 years. Max loves her and life would be seriously less organized if she weren't here.

Aunty Sarah we LOVE YOU!!!

Do you ever have those moments where you find your mind filled with evil thoughts???? Well, Oh-my-cat!!!I did, today.......
Don't get me wrong...I love being Maxi's Mama but do you ever long for a bit of adult conversation during the day? I sometimes get so saturated by kiddy conversation, kiddie games, kiddie books, kiddie DVD's, kiddie habits that I feel like my head is going to explode!!! and I have it SOOOO much easier with one child, than some women out there, who have a herd to care for.

Today my freak out is MAISY MOUSE! I am so tired of seeing her in my home, hearing her voice when ever I go into the lounge, finding her books in the most obscure places...laundry basket, behind the loo door, in my T-shirt cupboard. I am thinking of boycotting her for while, whadda you think? She is the focus of my evil today. DOWN WITH MAISY!!!!

If I have to see her mug shot so can you~

Now for something more sane...my dear husband. He is happy as Larry and nicely settled into the loft office. Helkom finally came through with our office line, our ADSL line and server are fixed and no longer giving us jip and he has a new designer. He is totally stoaked with Tammy, our newest recruit for Redline Design. She is great, talented and fits in really well, not there are masses of us to fit in with~haha. Already she has been invaluable to Tersh by halving his workload.
Yaaaay! I have my bloke back in the evenings.

As you know we are going to PE on Thursday...part of our trip is to see a big client's of ours who is about to launch this really clever product and Tersh & Tammy are putting the finishing touches on things. They are this vibey Christian media company who are making HUGE inroads into the movie industry. It will be good to hang with them a bit. We are especially looking forward to visiting their church on Sunday. I will tell you all about it when we get back next week.

Today I am so aware of the strife-free life I live. I am newly grateful for the amazing family life I experience within the four walls of my lovely home. I have an amazingly kind, thoughtful, generous, understanding and loving husband; as well as a beautiful, thoughtful, sweet but wild, super attentive, bright-button of a little boy and I am happy. Don't get me wrong life, has had a field day with my life of late but amidst that chaos, I have my little haven, my oasis, my little family.

All this because not so long ago I was kicked in the ass by my good friend mel, who read me the riot act and now I find myself wanting to try and look for the good, more than I focus on the bad.

I have to keep reminding myself that my God is good! and He never changes. My attitude tends to cloud the perfect picture of Him until all I see is a blur but that's my fault not His.

Thanks for bearing with me through my sometimes idiotic rambling. You guys are the best!

Hello world...

How was your day???
Mine wasn't too bad. Started off with a visit to Amazon (my factory...or soon to be ex-factory should I say) today. It was such an anti-climax, with things being much the same as it always was, just quieter. Geoff was absent as usual, so nothing really has changed hahaha!

I got home to give Maxi his lunch...most of which ended up in the bin...he eats like a bird, unless it is sweeties or chippies, why is that? Oh well I suppose he will eat when he is hungry enough. Nap time was fun with the Maisy mouse library book being the flavour of the day. I can read that dumb book without even looking now, I have read it so often. We have to change those books before we leave for PE. 7 more days of Maisy and I will go CRAZY!

Maxi's arvi nap was full of friends...as usual. I don't know how he breathes under that lot!

Daddy finished work and the games began. Look at the play room...Chaos!!!!
Since the floods we just haven't gotten in there to sort out. Cas & did such an amazing job of tidying it up with a place for everything...then the water came.

I cooked supper while the two of them had boy time. Rocket, sweet peppers, chick peas and mushrooms tossed with olive oil in pasta. It was divine....

Next is a cute pic of Maxi up to his usual silly tricks in the bath & Tersh with an owie. He cut his ear shaving? Huh? I haven't seen any hair on his ears yet...oooh now I get the picture, the blood tells the story. Oh dear....next it will be the back. EEEEu!

The day ended well with a pillow/teddy fight with Maxi and the Mama lost hopelessly! I know we aren't supposed to over stimulate them before bed. But he started it and it was a hoot. Anyway he had no problem falling asleep and there is silence in the halls.

I am looking forward to our little break in PE. It will be the first extended 'holiday' {a whole week} the three of us have ever had together and it will be good to see family.

Mel, I will have to see you next week Thursday if you are free. Enjoy ladies camp.

Nite-nite all out there. I encourage you too to start a blog, it is actually loads of fun.

***Hugs!***

Arvi update!

As promised I said I would post some more pic's after our walk to the "Giant Excavator". It was such fun.... {please bear in mind that I am taking photo's for my blog with my cell phone, for speed and ease, so they aren't the best}.

These were taken on my trip to the front door. The "stoep with trampoline" in far right corner. You should see ,moi, doing very intricate tricks on that piece of sophisticated equipment, something to be marveled at I tell you.
......marvel at how I come off alive, is more like it. Hahahaha!

A pic of the house as we walked towards the road.
As you will see the electric fencing is so subtle you
can't even see it. Hmmmm dumb pic..oh well it is
in so it must stay.

This is the view looking towards the "loft-office", with T's white bomber in the drive. Again verrry subtle electric fencing.

Our walk there was relaxed with little Poepie talking non-stop.....he has at least 8000 words to use up in a day, so he was doing some serious catching up. I found him a cotton zip up sweater at Woolies last week that looks so cool and 'big boy" and it only cost R65.....he looks cute hey?

A beanie babe just like his "Totally cool Uncle Steve"! Please note the "Oak" ...."Maple" leaf {same thing} in his hand......could it be a sign?

With all the insane rain we have been having here in CT, the council deduced that they better dredge the canals while they can, to avoid any more floods {what do you know...someone in council actually cares} , to do this they use one of those huge long armed diggers...{Maxi calls it a Giant Excavator, from his digger magazine, care of his "Pops"} so the next couple of pic's are of the piles of crud they dig out of the canals and the digger. Max was so excited he couldn't stop bouncing, hence there are very few pics of him stationary.

We were quite happy messing around with the digger when we noticed Maxi opening the door to a yellow porta-potty sitting next to the digger. We assumed it was just that. Well we were wrong, it was a bright yellow guard house/porta-loo combo with a poor man sitting inside. Next thing we see Moeks disappear inside the door, he happily struck up a conversation with this poor lonely uncle and gave him his oak leaf as a present. I look again and Tersh too has disappeared inside that dreaded yellow door. Flip I thought now what? The three of them sat together in the porta-loo and shot the breeze. Never thought I'd see a sight like that is my short life. The uncles name was Doo-doo.....go figger...sitting in a loo of all places. Anyway he was from the Congo and he had taken a job as a guard in an attempt to save enough money to go back to the Congo to be with his family. He has been here for 5 years and he said the money is terrible. Shame we felt so sorry for him sitting in his cold yellow box all night that we went back a little later and took him a hot meal and some coffee. We used it as an opportunity for Maxi to see us sharing God's goodness with someone else.

Howz these pic's???? Funny hey???

Bath and bedtime run was the usual fun and games with puzzle/stories and romping. We had hair washing tonight.....yaaaay! with Maxi being sick the last week we didn't dare wash his hair.
Pheeeu! boys sure can get stinky with the amount of sweating they do at school. Pops, please note the slicked nerd look...not for long tho' but at least now it has been immortalized on 'film'. Mumsie look, the space book was out AGAIN tonight. I never knew what a Nebular or a Quasar was before.....now Max will know by the time he is 4...hahahah! He loves the loo in the space shuttle with it's little door that opens and shuts.
Toilet humor sure starts young.

Mama and Maxi playing "Big eye's" like we did as kids. Stevie do you remember that
game?
This piccie is a peak into Maxi's room....CARNAGE!!!

Every boy has to have Alligator boots.
These are the new addition to the Watson family.

Well that's enough for today folks. I'd say I have made up for lost time and seriously caught up. Hopefully I will be able to post some more scrapping L.O's in the weeks to come. I have been in a bit rut of late and haven't done much.

Well sleep tite and count your blessings were you recognize them because i am VERY grateful that I am not Doo-Doo tonight in his little yellow box.

Lots of luv and an Ooooh-aaaaah from Maxi.
XOXOXO

Things are looking up.

Our lives are definitely looking up....the sun is shining, we went to church this a.m, our play room hasn't flooded all week and Maxi is having his big afternoon sleep hence I am blogging and we are tinkering in the office.
Yahoo!!! a moments normality in the insanely craziness we call life.

I have just gotten off the phone with my aunt in P.E, we are flying up there next week Wednesday for a week to see my old Oupa. Had it on my heart to see him, so I booked tickets and we're off. Timing is quite shot with Tersh having so many deadlines and his new designer going into hospital for a quick op on Tuesday. Flip have I done the right thing?
Maxi however is sooooo excited about flying in a real jumbo jet, although he has somehow gotten it in his head that we are going to "Australia to see the Sydney opera house with it's 30 stairs".....I dunno...I am stumped too??? Gotta love books, they certainly feed his imagination.

Just had a fab chat to my M&D on the phone. It is so nice to hear them so chirrup' y they seem to be settling down really well in their new housie and jobs in the UK. God is so good to the two of them and it is showing!!!! I miss them and look forward to visiting at the end of the year. I hear my boet and his wife in the UK are now officially UK residents...CONGRATULATIONS!! guys you deserve it.

Opps I must just dash and get Maxi, he has just woken up, Cheers!

......back again. The 'boy' is comfy on the couch with a little bakkie of sweets and an episode or two of kipper, so took the gap to take some piccies to post....here goes:

A few piccies of the new "office"...cool hey?

Tersh doing his Mr Wire it impersonation under the desk. View of the storage under the stairs:

My two beautiful boys!!!! Whats not to love?? Me & the hunnie looking beyadiful!!!!

The court yard with Tersh's dry river bed vibe. Look how well the freebee aloes are doing. The off cuts are thriving and all of them are making either x1 or even x2 flowers. Fab hey?

Mumsie look how well your herbs are doing....we transplanted them in pots and other interesting things and as you can see they are getting just enough sun, shade and water. Proud of us???? I hope so!!

Moeks doing his best
"I-am-a-serious-tractor-driver"
impersonation on one of those rides
at the supermarket. Cute hey?

Maxi with his sleep eyes on, mouth
stuffed full of marshmallows.

Well I can't get these piccies to line up how i want to....oh well! I am off to take Maxi down the road for a stroll. There is a Giant Excavator down the road clearing canals, so a visit is a must for any 3 yr old boy! will post a piccie later.

Chat later.
