Did you know that there are 29 sleeps, 15 hours until Christmas. I still can't believe this year has almost finished.....and I have done NO Christmas shopping yet. I am dreading hitting the toy stores but it has to be done right. Maybe next week if the urge grabs me...I head down town & get it done. Do you think I'll manage it in one day....hahaha! Nope, wishful thinking!
Well, today I hope I can help get you into the Christmas spirit, by sharing some cute Christmas projects. But first in honor of it being Tasty Tuesday yesterday (& the fact that I got my page themes mixed up :o) Here is frame I did as part of my Christmas home decor. I love that almost every store I go into right now, has these delish little candy canes for sale at the till points and I can never resist grabbing a couple every time I go shopping. I think the smell of peppermint candy will forever remind me of Christmas!!
I have loved the spread of the Mistletoe collection from Pink Paislee that has been all over my scrap table for the last while. The papers & embellishments have such a feel-good vibe about them, that they were calling to be loved into a scrap page for my parents. This is the result. Before I get started, please enjoy this basic Tattered Angels spray mist tutorial I put together using Crafters Workshop decorative template. Notice the box I use to spray into? I kept one of my UPS 12″x12″ boxes to spray into. I find it easily catches all the extra mist & is portable, depending on where i am scrapping in the house :o)
The addition of a pretty ribbon tie, gathered cotton lace & paper flower finished the page off nicely as wall art for my parents who live in the UK & won’t get to spend Christmas with us this year.
My other project is another Christmas page focusing on why it is we actually celebrate Christmas, sometimes it is easy to get caught up in the hype & forget the reason why.
Again I sprayed my background with Tattered Angels mist, then cut some holly leaves, paired them up with some cute glitter chipboard from American crafts & some glass beads as the berries. Layered my main photo onto tulle added some Pink Paislee press-ons, border lines more glittery brads from American crafts. And finished off with a super bow using ribbon from Stampin' Up.
I hope these pages have inspired you to get ready for some of your fave Christmas shots too. Thanks for stopping by & make sure to upload your projects into the Live Pink community gallery for everyone to enjoy.
Have a super day!
