PS: For all of you interested in the special offer Cocoa Daisy is offering, it isn't only for South Africans, it is being offered to anyone anywhere in case I wasn't too clear in yesterdays post. And if you are keen to take advantage of the deal...it is up to you to network & find x4 other scrappers who live in the same city to join you in the bulk postage thing. Once you have found x4 others, I suggest mail Tricia with your request (or to me & I'll forward it onto her) & she will give you further instructions. I hope that clears any confusion up :o)

Calling all South African scrappers!!!

I just wanted to let you know about the COOL deal that is being run over at Cocoa Daisy right now, that will be perfect for us here in SA with our exchange rate & pricey postage issues.

Tricia is offering a 20% discount with a purchase of 5 kits or more kits to the same city. And what makes this whole deal even more attractive for us being international customers, is that there is a flat rate shipping option of $41.95. With the discount and the bulk shipping, it will bring down the cost of the kits down to just $34.98 per month, including shipping! Can you actually believe it??? All that yummie scrappy goodness, all for that ridiculously low price...it is an opportunity not to be missed, I tell you.

What I also suggest is you take a 3 or 6 month sub, then the discount will apply for the duration of the sub. Please, please let me know if you have any questions about it or mail Tricia over at Cocoa Daisy on the following address: 'tricia at cocoadaisy dot com' (I have written it like that to stop spam)
I hope you too will be diving in to a box of CD each month like me.....come-on...I dare you!!!
You won't be sorry!!

Sketch time!

Hey ya'll....how has your weekend been so far??? Mine has been great! I saw friends, hung out with my boys & generally recharged. Just what I needed!

As you have probably noticed, I also managed to get a couple of scrappy projects loaded up onto the Cocoa Daisy blog. I am trying to get everything uploaded there before tomorrow AM when my laptop goes in for repair. The darn thing just won't open Photoshop any more (disaster!!) & the CD player won't work either (double disaster!). It will be torture not having it at hand to work on for a couple of days and even though my bloke gave me one of his extra E-mac's to work on, I am not as familiar with it as my own. So if I go quiet for the next couple of days...you'll know why.
But enough about my drama...I wanted to share a sketch with you, that I did the other day. There is a catch though....if you want to see the L.O I did with it using the gorgeous Cocoa Daisy's Feb kit, you will have to mosey on over here to see it.(If you download & use this sketch, be sure to credit Cocoa Daisy OK!!)
Have a super day!

Are you ready?

Are you ready for a peak at next month's Cocoa Daisy kit? This kit has a fun, whimsical feel to it, which is just the perfect sort of kit for our March guest designer -- Kelli Crowe! We are so excited to be working with her this month as well as teaming up with Big Picture scrapbooking again! Kelli will be teaching a class for BPS using the March kit!

I think you'll be amazed too at just how much Tricia was able to pack into this kit. Not only does this kit include great papers, unique items and funky trims, it also includes a full set of 7 Gypsies 97% complete interchangeable stamp set as well as a set of three different 7 Gypsies gaffer tapes!

We are all having so much fun playing with this kit and I know you will too!

Now don't forget that we have a great new contest coming your way - a new twist on our monthly "scrap-lift" slot. This month, we'd like to see YOU guys lift the scrap-lift layouts done by the DT, upload them to the gallery and then link to them the appropriate thread in the forum. The winner will get a free March kit, and we'll ask you to create a layout to be published in next month's Scrap-lift article. The layout and details will be coming in the newsletter...so be on the look out for it!

Fun, fun, fun happenin' over at Cocoa Daisy...so when you have a moment go take a gander over there & join in.

A little while back I applied for the DT of Dream street papers last year; to apply I had to complete x2 pages using their product. Thankfully my dear friend Paula had included some of their papers in a box of scrappy loveliness she had sent me, so I was able to do these L.O's. (I didn't get in but had a ball putting them together.) Take a look.

I hope you have a super day!

The Spring Feeling!

I have been designing so many Spring pages of late & thought I'd show you a couple. Here I experimented with ribbon threading, it is the coolest way to 'embroider' on your page without the hassle & time factor of using thread & is a fantastic way to use up extra ribbon stash. I have a ton of ribbons that I hardly ever use, so this is a fab way to use it up creatively.

The next page is a sweet one of Cassidy trying her 'hand' or should I say, 'feet', at skate boarding and the clear weather was the perfect opportunity for her to do it. I layered similar coloured papers for a cute girlie feel. As you can see I am loving butterflies at the moment :o)

Social butterfly!

Guys Cocoa Daisy's Feb kit is up...and looking gorgeous! and is appropriately named Social Butterfly. Aren't these papers just fab!!!

I am still waiting in anticipation for my kit to arrive, so watch this space. I will be up loading my projects into the Cocoa Daisy gallery around the 15th Feb with a sketch challenge for you all to try. We are going to choose a 'winner' from the entries & display it on our web site as 'gallery L.O of the month' with bit of a ra-ra about the designer. So don't forget now will ya!

If you are needing a bit of inspiration, pop over and see what our talented guest designer Vee Jennings did with the kit. Her pages are really great as are the rest of the Daisy Diva's they really ROCKED!! the kit.

If you have been wondering where I've been...I'd have to be honest & say up to my ears in designing for Pink Paislee. I will be posting a few projects that I have done for their blog & Pink Live...in a day or so. Unfortunately the bulk of them are out for consideration with a couple of mags, so can't show you those...but soon I promise, don't give up on me , pleeese!
