I cannot believe that our little guy is half way through Grade one already! It has been a trying time for us all... but he loves school, is academically really bright (thankfully) and is learning at such a pace I can hardly keep up. Who knew there was such a thing as a Planctivore or that ice floats so that the ocean doesn't completely freeze killing the sea creatures that live there? Yes clever boy but sitting still in class just doesn't compute with him. Ehem! drives his teacher stir crazy actually....typical boy right!! haha! and so we power on.
I made this page to remember the first week of Grade 1. He LOVES his school uniform, school bag, school classroom, school desk, new shiny crayon box, a box of x20 HB pencils (which are at the top of his ULTRA_COOL list). I wanted to remember the positive & the negative moments and encourage him at the same time. Being little is not easy.
This page was made using the fabulous Schoolhouse products from the ever generous October Afternoon & Studio Calico.
I used the Chip 'n Stick and Tin Pins accents to create this cute 'school' themed banner.
The wood veneer star from Studio Calico was a perfect match for my title.
Using a piece of shaped cardstock, I used Sunshine Mr Huey for a mist border and do you see see that adorable mini apple & cute numerals? It is part of the Clear stamps that came with this collection.
