We had a bumper birthday weekend last! With Tersh & Cassidy's birthdays being so close together we decided to have a joint celebration tea with some close friends. It was so much fun.... and I got to make a 'Pinterest style cake' & party treats. Oh YEAH!!!
Look who turned 13!!!! Our sweet girl is, officially a young lady...the BIG '1' '3'....
Happy Birthday darling child!
Birthday girl & guy.... aren't they gorgeous.
The star of the goody table.... my Pink cherry cake. I made the banner & paper roses using Fancy Pants Baby Mine patterned papers.
Rolled paper roses.
Party treats gift bags & present wrappings done using Fancy Pants Baby Mine patterned papers.
The next day being Woman's day bank holiday meant we could celebrate further...so we made use of our annual subscription to the Cape Town Aquarium and headed out to the V & A Waterfront. We 'oggled at fishies & all manner of sea creatures to the running commentary of our resident mini Marine Biologist. I mean really...who knows what a 'Yellow horned cow fish looks like' or what a 'Lesser spotted Moray Eel' is, or that Sea Urchins are the only creatures in the ocean that eat only seaweed.... *ehem... I see a future career leaning forming here.
After hours of walking around we ate at the Dodge City Diner and had the best chicken burgers & milkshakes ever!! It was T's choice given his love of Beach boys & retro memorabilia and it was the perfect choice to end off a gorgeous day!
I love my little herd.... & am grateful to all of them for their unique flavor that they bring to the family. We all love each other dearly & I am grateful each day that I get the opportunity to do life together with these sweet people.
Go hug your family guys.... they are worth all the riches life can offer!
It's super you stopped by.
