Warm & fuzzy!

Throughout life we meet people who special & impact our lives. Sweet generous people who we get to know over time & share life with. Well over the last year or so I have had the privilege of meeting such people through the phenomenal invention of cyber space & within a short period of time have gotten to know them quite well.
There has been a wonderful collage of ladies from all walks of life, each in some far off place in the world I have never been to, who have felt so inclined to extend their friendship, encouragement & support toward me.

Today I would like to acknowledge them (you all know who you are :o) & say thanks SO much. I have enjoyed sharing your lives through your blogs, chat times with me & emails & I am so glad we can call each other friends.

The other thing I would like to mention is just how generous they have all been. Not only with mails of support & encouragement but with gifts of LOVE that arrive unexpectedly in the mail. I have had an astounding last two days.....where I can honestly say I have felt completely spoilt! I know our Lord doesn't have favorites but boy I really feel like He does today.

Firstly I got a FANTASTC email from CK & one from Memory Makers saying they had selected some more of my L.O's for publication.

So it was a **HAPPY DANCE** day indeed!!!!.....I am so thrilled!!

.....then if it couldn't get any better, I received a large, heavy & interesting package in the post. It was from my honey of a friend, Paula who lives in Montgomery, IL. She floored me in a second when I opened the box....this is what was inside.

...pick your jaws off the floor...I am not kidding. It is an unbelievable mixture of the coolest papers & embellishments I have seen in a while & I cannot wait to get my scissors & glue out & start creating. You girl are ridiculous!! (in a good way).

Then the cherry on the top of a perfect day, was this beautiful card & goodies from my sweet friend Misty...who incidentally is about to pop with her 4th baba & is still so seriously productive creatively, that she puts me to shame.
Last week I admired this pretty cool card on her blog...not realizing she made it for little ole' me :o)

All I can say to you gals is THANK-YOU! THANK-YOU! THANK-YOU! you both made my day & I feel special & spoilt!

(Misty...I have to tell you...while I was typing this post, Max picked up the card you made for me & said : Mama, this card is so beautiful....is it for me??? I told him is was for me & he said: That friendly lady called Misty is very nice to you...will she make one for me too?? heehee!
See your art is even being appreciated by the mini Watson in the house :o)

Wanna see something FAB!

I wanted to tell you a bit about my sweet bloggie buddy Dedra. She is a fantastic scrapper, great mom & wonderful person. For a while she has had this great idea for a little business. Well this week everything went on air.

As a starter she is offering handmade minibooks....These beauties will be great for gifts, classic mini photo albums, journals for yourself, or add a personal touch by creating a scrapbook ...the sky is the limit for these creative albums.

Dedra has a very unique take on scrapbooking & because of this you can clearly see a 'Dedra Long Mini' a mile off. All her creations have have special characteristics which include sewing, stamping with glitter and added transparent frames great for journaling or a photo....and her use of often non-traditional items make them absolute eye candy!



So if anyone is looking for a special gift for someone, of a personal spoil, pop over to her blog & take a look at what she has on offer.

Well as for me I am doing not a heck of a lot today, other than a NASTY supermarket trip & possibly some scrapping which always brightens my day.So have a good one. I'll blog again a bit later.

At this moment...

Morning everyone! How did you sleep? Me...you ask? Not ENOUGH! Never enough....Ugh! I am so sleepy as I type this...good thing I have spell check & an endless supply of caffeine laced beverages on tap.
I was tagged by Martha the other day...with the COOLEST tag....'photographic evidence of places in my home right now'. Well mine are a mixture from Monday (a public holiday for us here in SA) & today...I hope that's OK!

My fridge....WOW! it actually looks really healthy in there. Most important occupant of the fridge can be found on the right, in the door.....my incredibly necessary Diet Pepsi. My kitchen & sink after making waffles for breakfast. Max decided eating @ the kitchen table wasn't a good idea but rather opted for the floor, on a blanket. Sam please note the little row of bottle tops next to him. He swiped them off my scrap table :o)
This is the kitchen table where we eat most of our meals.....it is like a magnet for junk! There is always a load of stuff on it, which gets shoved into the back corner to make room to sit.
My loo....which is in my bedroom...we have an open plan bathroom-bedroom-wet room vibe. Nope there is no door, so if we NEED to go, then we use one of the others in the house (there are 4...plenty to choose from).
My closet....well theoretically I share it with T but I hog most of the room for my SHOES & HANDBAGS. Being in the clothing industry for so long I have accumulated so much 'free' stuff. The church down the road loves it when I have a grand chuck out....:o)
My favourite place in the whole house...my rather messy scrap area. See Stef, is it not tidy all the time, only between L.O's. I was making cards here....hence the chaos.
The shoes I am wearing right now.....Aaaaah! now the hideous secret is out...at home, when I am cold, I wear Croc's & socks....AND they are not even real Croc's but sad local rip-offs. I prefer the price tag of only R39.99=$4.98 as opposed to R299.99=$37.36. Say it....CHEAPSKATE!!
My dream holiday....NO LAUGHING!!! a fishing trip to the Everglades. I have ALWAYS wanted to go fresh water fishing, where the fish actually pursue the boat in an effort to get caught on my hook. To be in the middle of a mozzie, croc infested swamp catching HUGE sweaty bass. Bring it on!!I need to be catching myself one of these beaut's.....I'll put it back of course.....I just want to catch the sucker!!!

So special!!

I am so amazed at the comradeship & feeling of community that I have felt from all the wonderful scrapbookers I have met through the wonderful world of blog. You are all some of the sweetest most generous people I know & I wanted to say thank-you.Today I went to the post office & was surprised by a package addressed to me. It turns out is was from Happy Scrappy Sam. Samantha, you are such a doll......I totally LUV my lovely thoughtful RAK & I cannot wait to get stuck in and start using my delish new stash :o)

I met & had coffee with my dear friend Mel today & I had the pleasure of handing over her RAK for last weeks challenge. She, along with a few others have completed their L.O's for challenge #2.....how are the rest of you coming along. Don't forget to mail them to me for posting on Monday, OK!

Being a long weekend this weekend (this I only found out about when I went to the supermarket this arvi) I am looking forward of loads of photo opportunities & laughs. I will keep you posted. Enjoy the rest of your Friday!

Spoilt!

I was blown right out of my socks yesterday by my dear friend Joscie. She sent us a parcel that was SO full of scrappy-Hawaiian love that I am speechless. Not only was there the most amazing scrap stash...the likes of which I have never seen before (so new apparently, they have only just hit the stores :o), but there were surf tee's for Tersh, Cass & Max, an enormous bag of delish Hawaiian coffee, a rocket juice cup for Max etc, etc the list just goes on & on. Thank you so much my friend.......we can definitely feel the luv!!!!
I think the photography/scrappy bug is well entrenched in the Watson house hold....I caught Max 'taking a close picture of these words' using Cas's Bratz 35mm camera.....it certainly made me smile. I'm off to plonk on the couch with a book.....I am having a tough time shaking this awful flu.

Spoilt!

I was so spoilt this morning by two amazing girls, who I am privileged to call friends. We drank delish coffee, ate gorgeous food & had a fine time doing what we do best....YAK!
It is so great having friends where conversation is never a problem, we are all at a similar place in our lives, we all scrap & have blogs we love to update. It was the formula for a FAB! morning.

Girls thank you so much for the thoughtful pressies & excellent company....you are both complete STARS!!!
PS: Jo & Anita, you were missed but we will do another morning like this soon XXX
