So much to do!

As promised I mentioned earlier that I would post again tonight if i could....well I am behind my laptop with mountains achieved today, although I do admit to being just slightly shattered by the volume of people in the malls already. I mean schools only broke up on Friday, one would assume that the least they could have done was sleep in today.
The good news is though, that I will probably not have to step foot in another mall until 2008....yeehaa! that is GREAT news in itself, in that I HATE the mall, especially when it is full of lurkers.
{definition being~ people who cruise the mall without purpose & stare aimlessly in store windows, just waiting for an opportunity to step in the way of any desperate mom type person, wielding a shopping trolley containing a yelling child.}

I am feeling quite organised at the moment & will start packing tomorrow....not that you would say so from the chaos on the floor of my bedroom. Max decided to put the suitcases to the test. He emptied everything into a pile on the floor and spent half the afternoon playing boats, rocket ships, hide 'n seek....you name it he tried it.

Max came to me this afternoon saying that he had all his friends ready to be packed.....that they all had to come.....I hesitated for a second before explaining to him that there was no oxygen in the cargo hold, so they wouldn't be able to breathe & that it would be better if they stayed at home. He agreed!

Whilst digging in the garage for suitcases I came across a suitcase of Maxi's baby clothes that I didn't know I still had. Max had loads of fun digging around in there. He came across a fluffy sleepsuit of his size 18-24mnths that I had cut the feet off of for extra wear. The next thing I see him wriggling into it.......to celebrate his success, he raced down the passage shouting:

"Look @ me, I am a super hero!!"

We are all so looking forward to this trip. I must just get through the next couple of days with insurance companies, glass companies {replacing our shattered door etc} & then I can relax & get into the holiday mode.

I will keep you posted.
Nitey-nite.

Beaut. day!

Geepers it is the most UNBELIEVABLE day.....there is no wind and it is at least 30 degrees C outside. Definitely going to be an evening for the beach, once Tersh has finished in the office. Nice thing about having your own business from home, is that you can knock off a bit earlier on the odd occasion without having a grumpy boss breathing down your neck. Yesterday was a gem of an arvi too, we went to the play park down the road where Maxi & Tersh had a ball on the new blue jungle-gym they have just put in. The game was steered by Maxi....he was Kipper the dog & T was Tiger {his Scottish terrier friend}....& they were hiding in their igloo from the snow storm outside. The joy of the imaginative mind at work, with a bit of help from Hollyweird. Snow in Africa....go figure?

The moon rise was out of this world....I managed to capture it on film....even if a bit far away {I only had my small Sony point and shoot with me}. The colours were straight out of God's paint box. Maxi was standing at the top of the tall slide when be noticed it on the horizon.

"Mum & Dad....look at the beautiful moon! {his favourite adjective at the moment} . It is all white & blue.....and a circle"...... definitely a mini Einstein in the making. {Every mothers wishful thinking I think LOL! }

Fresh air on the lungs & a romp in the park does wonders for the cabin fever for the big people & helps get the child really pooped, resulting in little or no guilt pangs being felt by the parents for the pronto-to-bed routine, as soon as we got home. I mean what is a date night with your bloke without another couple of episodes of LOST! Thank the Lord for Vee's videos.....series 3 has just arrived. We are on disc no. 2 & will have no. 3 under our belts before mid-night tonight.

DARMA we'd be LOST without you!!!

Have a good weekend everyone. "May the force be with you!"

A skate a day......

The days are getting longer and the temp is rising.......Spring is making herself known.......and the feel good spring vibes are definitely having a positive affect in our household. The boys {as in Daddy & Moeks} are spending more time outside and coming home later after their "boy time" together.
A question???.....do the boys in your life skateboard? Well my biggest "boy {T}" has always had his feet firmly planted on a board of sorts but recently my littlest boy has started too, 3 is a good age don't you think?. He has a mini board, the long shorts, the sneakers, the cool "skating cap" {his words} and is sooooo adorable that the poor mama's heart might just break when ever she see's him. I know this is boring for all those non-family type people, who are probably looking at this, thinking: "Geepers NOT more photo's of her kid!!".
But, but she cried.......he is soooo cute & so is his daddy......and she has this FAB camera...surely it must work for it's money????
Huh?? Huh?? ..............................Well here goes anyway....
