Sun was out!

Yesterday was a glorious Autumn day...with the sun shining & the wind non-existent. We headed to the Muizenberg promenade with Max & his scooter for a walk. It was wonderful to feel the sun on my face, the music of the ocean & peace in my heart. In moments like that I am reminded just how good my life is with an amazing husband, beautiful kiddlets & peace in my home. The only damper on our fabulous walk, was having to be on constant lookout for wanna-be pick-pockets. I try not to be too negative....but the reality is, South Africa isn't what it used to be.

There were so many fisherman out....which is unusual...that Max even got to poke a wiggly fish just after a man hauled it in. He was a bit grossed out by the fish slime tho'....I don't blame him. Even though I love fresh water fishing, I can't handle the pong of fish gob...it sticks like crazy & takes forever to get off. I did however get some cool shots....don't you love the ease of a tiny compact camera sometimes??? I messed with tints & effects in Photoshop for a bit of funk.

I caught the kiddlets reading a whole pile of my scrapbooking albums....they were chatting together about each page...remembering the day in the photographs & laughing about it. It is these moments that make all the hard work of scrapping worth while.
Max has this uncany ability to build enormous towers out of whatever is lying around. This one he built without much care until it was half a head taller than him.....clever tick!

Anyway, I must go and fetch Max from play school. Sarah has hurt her back & won't be in for a couple of days.....YIKES!!! It also doesn't help me having picked up laryngitis & a yuk! cough from somewhere. Hahahahaha! I am such a spoiled ninny sometimes.
Have a great day!

  5. That's why I scrapbook...my family really enjoys sitting down and looking at the albums! It's more like a story of their life, not just the photos!!!
I love all the alterations you did with Photoshop, especially the rough edges.
