Fun with Amy Tan sketch book + layouts.

I was very honored to get some of the gorgeous @AmyTangerine sketch book collection from @AmCrafts to play with. I certainly got my 'crafty fill' after a marathon of fabulous water color & doodled goodness. Teamed up with my Silhouette... I think I am hooked with her Amy's stuff & am looking forward to seeing the next collection IRL after Summer CHA 2012.

It seems as though the color tangerine is, well, my new fave color... and rightly so because according to Pantone, it the color of the year 2012 too :) I love how it makes the other color appear super vibrant & helps the black accents look extra punchy.

CK layouts to share + CHA

There is so much going on in my life right now...but business aside I was dying to blog, so I'll get right to it.

I wanted to share a couple of the page that have been published in CK...

This page was for Erin Weed's article where she explores adding calendars to your scrapbook pages. I created this calender template & used Lawn Fawn stamps to embellish it. See here for a :FREEBIE DOWNLOAD: of the template.

I designed this page for Cindy Tobey's article, 'That's Entertainment', using You've Got Mail with Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan DVD cover for my inspiration. I Used the title (obviously LOL) & even recreated the faded vibe to match the cover design. Have you ever tried using something from your DVD collection to jump start a scrapbook page?

This page I created for Deena Wuest's (now Boese... pronounced 'Bays') article, 'Hey It's Hybrid'. I created the 'BOY' banner in Photoshop, then printed & cut it out of heavy cardstock. See here for a :FREEBIE DOWNLOAD: of the banner in a PSD format.

Updated my gallery + Layouts

I have been slow in catching up with life since getting back from CHA (I have so much to share about my trip too but I just don't seem to be able to get there). What with family life & horrible jet lag I feel like I am wadding through jello. But the good news is I am slowly finding my creative feet again and loving the process. This process has drawn me firmly to my Silhouette SD again...flip! I love that machine. I have been making my own cutting files & loving the result. Gotta love being able to drive a vector program :)

Oh I have just updated my Cocoa Daisy gallery with some more projects :here:

The Chevron Stamp is part of this month's stamp subscription. I stamped & used Aqua Zing embossing powder to get my vibrant color.

I have so many stories to share from LA but that'll only be next week with all my deadlines & assignments due any day now. I'll leave you with this photo. I mentioned I stayed with my super fun & crazy friend Suzy Plantamura, whom I adore? Well this is us horsing around whilst we waited for our Bagel breakfasts. Miss you friend!!

Anyway...time I hit the feathers... assignments to be worked on in the morning, birthday parties to go to etc etc.
Glad you stopped by!
