Celebrate the 4th!

In honor of all my special bloggy/scrappy buddies in the USA I wanted to wish you all a very

*!!!HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!*

Being in a party mood, I thought I'd share some cool tips & tricks on how to brighten up your festivities, with some slightly more chic stars 'n stripes treatments for around the house.

Dolly up the kids crocs or your own with stars & rhinestones.

Ribbon rosettes tied with ribbon for napkin holders, colored sand or wax candles, pretty bread stick tins covered in appropriate paper.

How about putting that craft cutter to good use??? Foam star table decorations & coasters.

How cute are these stars 'n stripe parasols to make the most ordinary glass of juice festive.

Yum! food hey? Fruit parfaits, cupcakes & shortcake desserts.

And last but no least the patriotic apron. I know many of you are avid apron sewers & swappers. Try this on for size.......even the pockets are stars 'n stripes heehee!

Enjoy your day in the sun everyone....be together, laugh lots & remember the privilege of freedom.

  1. Thank you, Kimmy girl!!! Ever so kind of you to remember the birth of our nation, and to help us remember to appreciate it! So often I hear critizism and bad things of my beloved country, that it really is a breath of fresh air to see someone from afar appreciate what many Americans forget and take for granted...
    Lots of hugs, dear Kim!

  2. Lekker post.
I especially love the layered dessert with the blue berries. Where can I get some?

  3. What a lovely post...that apron is really cute! I agree with Stefanie, the trifle bowl of strawberries, whipped cream and blueberries looks divine!
It's raining here today. I hope the fireworks aren't canceled. Last night we went to a concert in the park, the band played patriotic songs, and there was a Bluegrass group that played, too.
