Fun with Ali's fave products!!

Hello all? I hope you are having a SUPER week so far??

In case you are even remotely interested….I have had a fabulous week~ hehe!! It is school break right now,  so I have a house full of kiddlets, challenging & loud yes,  but who can resist a 5 year old batting his eyelids crooning: ” I’ll love you forever Mama,” at the top of his voice?? In amongst the madness,  have however had a couple of free moments where I have had a chance to scrap a bit with Ali's Sept Cocoa Daisy kit!  All I can say is, IT IS AWESOME!!  Take a peek at what I have done so far…..

I used cloud cut outs as masks & misted over them onto the background paper to create my ’sky’. The American Crafts ribbon & stamped journal block is extra.

This page was entirely inspired by the delicious paper;  the vintage images were calling for something a little looser & more fun. I misted using red over the number die cut paper, then made those cute pinwheels , the pleated ruffle & flower I made using some odd bits of crepe paper I had in my paper drawer. The Sassafras stickers were left over from my August kit.

This page is my take on this months sketch,  see this thread for details.  Remember this is a contest & there is a Cocoa Daisy store voucher up for grabs, so if you have a moment, take a look at Danielle’s FAB! sketch & get scrapping!!

I still have a bunch of ideas I am working on with this kit, so watch this space, I’ll be back with more!!
Have a great day!

Pirate in the house!!

Hey guys…I hope you are well & having a super day so far??? It is a public holiday here today…Heritage day I think haha! I’m a shocker aren’t I, that I don’t even know for sure, but I didn’t need much encouragement to do very little today. I enjoyed a fun day with my little boy while his Daddy worked. Talking about my little boy….he is the subject of my project today. Being Thursday I have Trends as my theme…..together with the funky Twilight line.

We don’t officially celebrate halloween here in SA, so I don’t have typical halloween scrapping ‘ammo’, but I wasn’t fazed though. This line is SO versatile & I had a blast putting together this page. It is an interview I recorded with my little boy….oh ah…sorry, I mean…. the scary ‘Captain Cutlass’. (His answers to the interview were so cute & funny…..take a look.)

For the trend angle of the page…I thought I’d highlight eyelets today. Over the last little while they have really made a come back into ’scrapping fashion’ again. I LOVE using them in all manner of ways…this time I used them to attach my stars to the page.

I really hope I have inspired you to go & hunt for those eyelets & give using them a bash again. I am excited to see how you use them too NB: Link us up in the comments then we can all take a peek :)

Again using the Twilight line I put this page together about Max & his new career choice of the moment.....'Mad Scientist'...he takes it REAL seriously!! :)

So have yourselves a super day!!
Aaaarh! (hehe! couldn’t resist that)

Loving the August Cocoa Daisy kit!

I got my kit later than the others, with the postal strikes in my area...everything was delayed. But do not fear...all is sorted now & I got my August & September kit together, so you must know the type of creative high I am on right now.  Please notice my delicious butterflies....I updated them a little this month by cutting them in the gorgeous Lily Bee paper & doubling them up in true Jaime Warren style.

The pink layered flower I cut using my Slice....I would be so lost without that little gadget ;-)

This sweet card was a labor of love. I was determined to do some hand stitching after Ronda's lovely examples last month, and this was the result.

Well that is all I have for today....but watch this space there are more to come in the next couple of days!!
Happy scrappin!

More pubbed pages :o)

My last batch of pages were so well received (BTW! thanks for all your super comments everyone, I loved reading them all), so I thought that I'd post some more for you to look at.

This one was seen in the June issue of Creating Keepsakes, as well as on the cover for that month!! I have had a ton of emails since it was published asking about the robot paper I used; it is actually from Bo-Bunny. I did mail them for a store list who might still stock it, but unfortunately it is out of stock everywhere & they don't plan on re-printing it. Sorry guys.....!
But....I did some surfing & found that Bam Pop has some cute robot paper & Cosmo Cricket has cute paper too. They aren't the same as the one I used but will give a similar vibe to mine & end up just as cute.

~Click on the links above to take you to their stores.

This one was from the CK June Fathers day article.....those two melt my heart!!!

This is also the June CK issue....I had such fun here. I managed to fit 9 photos on a 5x7 image, leaving me a ton of extra room for journaling & embellishments.

Also June...for the Family article. Max is crazy about his uncle Steve, even though they live in the UK...when they come to SA to visit, they just carry on where they left off.

Anyway...I have to rush off. I am too lazy too cook supper tonight, so I am off to Woolies to get some steamed oriental chicken & a Butter curry.
YUM!!!!!
See ya!

Some pubbed pages!

Morning all....sorry I have been so MIA lately but when you are faced with 50 million things you have to do, blogging 'she ees not so beeg!" . Anyway I am here now & I thought I'd post some pages I had published in the Scrapbook trends mag a little while back!

This one was from March!
My little boy is crazy about motor bikes...don't you think that cute smile could melt butter Then again...I could be a tad biased, cos he's all mine!

This one was in the May issue!
Max had such a cool 4th birthday party. Even the adults couldn't resist the giant jumping slide we had. His Rocket cake from the Little Einsteins was by far the highlight though. Tersh & I spend the whole previous night baking & icing it for the party. Each year Max is allowed to have a cake of his choice; it is a great tradition!

This was also in the May issue.
My dilemma as a Mama is sometimes about how strict to be with Max's food exploration....haha! we actually let him try the cat food that day and he ended up eating tons of it. Eeeeuuu!

May issue again..... I love how 3D it turned out.

Last one for today......Mothers Day for May SB trends. I love how the magenta colours pull together & scream "look at me!!!". Actually this is one of my fave pages ever!

I hope they inspired you. Now don't be a stranger...if you are reading this then be a doll & pop over to the comments & ' say HIYA!' come-now, then at least I will know I am not yakking to myself.
Anyway...have yourself a super day!

*Swoon*

This amazing kit is Cocoa Daisy's September kit, & guess what....it's full of Ali Edward's favorite things:

I am loving everything about this kit & oh my goodness resisting buying all the add-on's is SO hard! Ali designed the stamp and those journaling cards too, aren't they wonderful? I know I have to wait a bit for my kit especially with the postal workers being on strike but I am really, really excited to use it. If you are keen to sneaks of what the rest of the DT are doing with it....go to my sidebar & clink on all the Cocoa Daisy DT links.

Look at these sneaky peaks from Ronda....she is such a tease!!

This kit goes on sale Sept 3, so have your plastic ready to swipe because I have a feeling there is gonna be a bun fight gals!! At this stage only subscribers are guaranteed a kit because of the demand. The *good news* is that right now there are discounts on subscriber rates ($2 off the 3 month price and $3 off the 6 month price)...so why are you still reading this post???? Go sign up if you aren't already haha!

Well I am having a rainy day here which means my plans to photograph my next batch of assignments are ruined. Oh for a portable light room!!
Happy scrapping guys!
