Well I did it :o) It is second time I have had a page grace the cover of Creating Keepsakes magazine...but this one is extra special seeing as it the first issue for 2011. It is also the first of a new magazine format CK is trying...so what do you think?

Supply list: Cardstock: American crafts (Vanilla), Bazzill Basics (White),Patterned paper: Anna Griffin (Cream flocked diecut overlay), Lily Bee (pink flourish/dot), American crafts (white/pink), Bella Boulevard (Pink/ white daisy), Ruffled ribbon: American Crafts,Button: Cosmo Cricket, Die cut chipboard: Little Yellow Bicycle, Stamps: Autumn Leaves (big journal), Pink Paislee (Small journal), Ink: Close to my Heart, Alphas & stickers: American Crafts, Glitter glue: Stickels,Pen: Sakura, Tools: Punches by Martha Stewart & Fiskars, Trimmer & Exacto knife by Elmer's, Adhesives: 3L, Tombo, American Crafts,Paper & Printer: HP
Now for something a little different....
In keeping for Christmas I put this little project together for Fancy Pants. There is a tutorial attached, so prepare for a gazillion step outs :o) ENJOY! If you make one for yourself...link me up here so we can all take a look.
Fancy Pants Supplies:
Tradition patterned paper: Shimmer
Tradition patterned paper: Brrrr
Tradition patterned paper: Strips
Tradition patterned paper: Finishing touch
Tradition patterned paper: Cards
Tradition Trim
Tradition Buttons
Other Supplies:
large eyelets
jewel
twine
velcro tape
sewing machine
1. Taking your 12x12" Shimmer patterned paper, follow the template above, and mark out your score & fold lines.
3. Fold your x4 corners inward towards the middle & glue down.
4. Fold inside gusset.
5. Cut & fold bands for top of purse.
6. Punch x2 tabs & sew velcro in place.
7. Punch bands & insert large eyelets.
8. Thread ribbon through eyelets & knot to secure.
9. Cut out red flower from Strips patterned paper & cut x3 other flower shapes for layering.
10. Layer shapes together & secure with button & twine. Add some bright ribbon as 'leaves'.
11. Take your cards patterned paper & cut out tags. Punch & add twine for cute gift tags.
12. Tie cards together & pop into purse.
You are all done! This sweet gift is sure to make the day of any teacher! I hope you have found this helpful!

Congrats on the cover. I've been meaning to email you and tell you how much I love it. So soft and pretty. And uh, I don't think I'm that dedicated of a crafter to make my own gift bags. LOL! It's so pretty though. I'd probs make one and want to keep it... ;)
