I thought I'd show you another take on the same technique with different outcome.

Photo transfer Technique using clear packing tape:
Step#1- Print your photo onto regular printer paper using a color laser printer.
Step#2- Cover the surface with clear packing tape or shelf plastic, & trim off excess paper.
Step#3- Soak in water until completely saturated.
Step#4- Turn image over and keeping the paper wet, gently rub off the backing paper with your finger. You will be left with a transparent image of your photo.
Here is a close up of how the woodgrain paper creates awesome texture beneath my transparent photo.
