CK magazine + Stamping tutorial

Hi all...I am still trying to catch up on my blogging, but it seems as though I am losing the battle. HAHA! 

Anyway in an attempt to cross another thing off my to-do list, here are some of my pubbed pages from the Jan/ Feb 2013 issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine. It was a great issue to start the year off with a bang. I had fun with these two pages. I hope you find them inspiring!

Aspen Grove + Layouts

With us getting ready for the move, my life is crazy to put it mildly! Scrapping is far down on my to-do list I am afraid to say, and will be until December at least. I did however manage to get some scrapping time in yesterday and finished these DT pages for Cocoa Daisy, using my Aspen Grove kit.

Ah! the colors are fab, as are the Amy Tan/ American Crafts, Jilly Bean Soup, Lily Bee & Simple Stories goodies in it.

MIDWAY>>> the annual Fall Cocoa Daisy crop weekend. 

This year’s theme will be The Midway. Think amusement park game and ride-inspired challenges and classes. We’ll have a chat with Julie Balzer and fun prizes and random giveaways. BINGO has been secured too...which is always an adrenalin charged hoot. 

So on the lookout for our schedule and more information as we nail everything down.

Julie Fei-Fan Balzer’s had put together the December Art Journal project kit over at Cocoa Daisy here is a little sneak peek at what has arrived. 

There has been so much interest in Julie’s kit that Christine has decided to start taking pre-orders. Check out the Cocoa Daisy newsletter on October 3rd, which will have a full list of the project kit contents, price and a link to pre-order the kit from our store.

Cocoa Daisy's July kit: Note to Self

It's finally time to reveal Cocoa Daisy's July's kit, "Note to Self"! I don't have mine as yet, with the extra time needed to get my parcel flown down South but I just know I am going to love every bit of this kit. 

The add-on's are so great too, like the "Take Note" add on, the Embellishment Pack add on and the patterned paper add-on, "To Do."

Hopefully I will get mine this week, I can't wait to break it out again and make some layouts.

Caught these photos of Max telling jokes with his Dad...I love the way he totally loses the plot when he lest out a belly laugh. LOL!

Here I saved the glassine bag the Cocoa daisy stamps came in & used it as a pocket behind the photographs to hold my hidden journaling tag.

Home is where your heart is by Kim Watson
 Used my Silhouette SD for cutting the 'holey' background & all titles. Love the texture it adds to my pages.

Again I used my glassine stamp bags as pockets for my photos. I cut them down & 'pinked' the edges for a more authentic look.

 Hope you are having a fab Friday & have some great things lined up for the weekend! I'm off to a playdate with Max. One of his class mates, a sweet little girl, has been asking for months if he could come & play. The two of them talk the same language when it comes to imaginary games & they both love to draw & create. The perfect playmate actually.
